The RDP client displays the standard messages "Securing Connection" "Configuring remote session" but after a while i get the "computer can't connect" message. I get the message "This computer can't connect to the remote computer try connecting again if the problem contiues contact the owner of the remote computer or your network admin. When I got home and connected to the LAN with the VPN the RDP client would not connect to the win 2K8 server. I installed a Win 2008 server on the LAN and tested RDP from the internal win xp desktop to make sure it was working. i have 1 Win XP Pro desktop that i connect to with RDP. I can connect to my Win 2000 Servers and desktops using PC ANYWHERE. I have a Netgear router and use Netgear SoftRemote VPN client to connect to my network.
